Send a Tip

Know something happening on the Westside? Westside Ledger wants to hear about it.

News tips don’t need to be formal, and you don’t need to know whether something is “newsworthy” before reaching out.

Send us what you know, and we’ll take it from there.

What Can I Submit?

Tips and story ideas can include:

  • Local issues or concerns affecting your neighborhood
  • Road hazards, closures or recurring traffic problems
  • Questions about local government, development, land or water
  • Community events and announcements
  • Local businesses opening, closing, expanding or changing hands
  • Native Hawaiian voices, cultural practitioners and kūpuna we should talk story with
  • Westside residents or organizations doing noteworthy work
  • Photos or video of something happening in the community
  • Questions you think deserve an answer
  • Anything happening west of Hanapēpē that you think deserves a closer look

What Should I Include?

Tell us what happened, where it happened and when. If other people are involved, include their names or contact information if you have it.

Photos, documents and links can also be helpful.

And if all you have is a question or a hunch? Send that, too.

You don’t have to know the whole story to point us toward one.
